a crazy good time. and i mean quite literally. ray nicholson and samara weaving both kill it in their roles. the character of paul is electric, every scene he’s in is magnetic. an absolutely stellar role that rivals mia goth’s maxine from the X series. both of them are fine. the boyfriend was annoying but that’s okay - the ending was a little rushed, and it could’ve benefited from about twenty more minutes in runtime. every character was dynamic, and each added something fun to the film.

Heart Eyes 2025
a fun slasher but lacked enough quality characters aside from the main two. The storyline was easy to follow and the kills were pretty good for the most part, I wish Devon Sawa was utilized a bit more. I have never watched a project where Mason Gooding is unlikeable, but for the first half of this movie I thought he was so douche-y. Olivia Holt delivers as per usual, but her and Mason lacked chemistry throughout the first two acts of the film. The Heart Eyes reveal was a little lackluster, but the ending sequence was interesting enough. Overall a fun slasher for the holidays.
