Really not a fan of a white woman going into a black neighborhood, stirring up some shit, and getting praised as a white savior, literally praised. The premise in and of itself does not make sense: a black man taking out his “revenge” by using a white woman to terrorize his own community. Why?? Also, why was there a creepy romance subplot?? Why was there a heavy religious cult element?? Why?? There was so much potential with the exploration of urban legends, but I didn’t like the execution.
