Apparently Gene Hackman didn’t even want to do this role and quit on the third day! But damn, he kills it on on all levels. His performance is so perfect for the role, with Doyle feels like a dick, a cool guy, and an obsessive freak at the same time. He is so committed to his work, it being his sole focus, even when he kills one of the officers he is working with. I can totally believe that Doyle…
I found this movie really interesting. While I personally feel that Covid blurred its meaning to me, I found it anyway. This provided me with insight to Korean culture, and is a funny, exiting way to feed me this information. I will continue to research this movie as this culture interests me.

A really good movie, with the comedy being top of the line, but also manages to make me feel a lot of pain, and understand the suffering of the main family. This movie is also just thrilling, in so many ways, especially the full taking over of the family and the climax. The idea of an invisible man being present is something that is also prevalent here, which under the understanding of capitalism is an interesting connection by Joon-ho.
