  Impulsive late night watch with friends. Maybe it's because I'm used to only watching cinema slop, but I ended up really enjoying this! Hugh Grant was a joy to watch. The first half was more intruiging to me than the latter, though.

  I watched this because a family member praised it religiously but I just ended up being grossed out. I find the relationship between the main characters extremely creepy and I'm having trouble seeing how people can sympathise with Melvin at all. The performances were great but they didn't save the plot.
