  My cat was locked in for this and as a parent forced to watch as well, I didn’t hate this?

   The songs were hit or miss but the plot and action had tension. 

  The aggressively British lions were a choice as well as the bye bye song. Cringey. Director really tried his best tho.

  Probably my fav live action remake bc the writers actually added depth to the original story with deeper romance themes and character development.
  Casting director was swinging for the fences and hit home runs (Halle Bailey you’re a star, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian) and struck out swinging (Awkwafina was obnoxious, Javier Bardem couldn’t even call it phoning it in he was so wooden, Lin Manuel Miranda for also phoning it in and creating the most obnoxious new song to torture parents with)

  From the 10 minute long car ride where a minor is begging for s*x from a man the same age as the director (very sus thing to include) to the over the top fictional revenge p*rn to the gratuitous amount of feet. It felt like I was watching Tarantino’s deepest fantasies that he doesn’t have the public decency of trying to hide them anymore.
