Not only was Carey Mulligan a great choice for Cassie, but this entire film is an extremely important message for anyone.
This film is a hard pill to swallow, because it is incredibly real and confronting, especially for men.

Lady bird is my all time favourite coming of age film. Greta Gerwig has authentically captured the experience of late high school and the experiences of leaving our childhood comfort zone into unknown territories where we learn great lessons.
Those aspects mixed with some heartfelt and relatable family dynamics between Lady bird and her mother created a really unique watch.Lady bird is one of those movies that are kind of about nothing but in a comforting way.

Love this movie so much. It’s creepy and kinda freaky at some points but it works so well with the subject matter of the plot and Nina’s declining sanity. I love Swan Lake so much and Darren Aronofsky used choice of score, colour in consumes and lighting to evoke the exact emotions and torment that Nina experiences during her descent into darkness as she becomes the black swan.
