Free State of Jones 2016
While elaborating on one of history’s more interesting and uncommonly known facts about what happened during the Civil War. Its was cool to see the racial tensions of those who supported the free state and those within it. The laws of that were passed after 1865 were in fact true. However I would have enjoyed this movie more if it stuck to the one side or the other. The side plot while interesting wasn’t entirely needed but it did show the racial conformities of being a son who was raised by a black mom and a white father
