Depression can really suck. The times when all the stuff in life is beating down on you, and you feel crushed under the weight of it all. Regardless of what happened specifically to push someone down, it's something that could affect any of us at some point in our lives. It's definitely hurt me over various stages of my experience.

So the fact that Spider-Man, possibly the most well-known superhero of all time, is someone who can not only suffer…

“Flying used to be fun until I started doing it for a living”

When you first watch Kikis Delivery Service as a kid, you might be charmed by the beautiful animation, but think of it as a pleasant film with no main villain, just vibes, like how many of Miyazaki's films are (questionably?) interpreted.

The more times I've seen this film though, the more impactful it has become. People rightfully say that it's a metaphor for creative burnout... and each…

I absolutely adore how this film almost completely ditches all the hallmarks the series has done the last six films for something completely different in vibe. Its a slow burn that aesthetically I genuinely adore. It stumbles in a couple places but overall this movie is an absolutely wonderful film about the time you have right before you know everything is about to end.

Yeah this hit way too close to home. I saw a lot of myself in the Grandson/Grandma relationship. June Squibb is excellent.

Black Panther: Wakanda forever is a highly emotional tale about loss with some of the finest performances delivered in the MCU up to this point. The Cinematography is a massive step up over the previous film, with no more flat gray daytime shots. Namor is a fantastic villain that truly challenges the main character in a unique way even though he doesn't quite match up with the emotional complexities Killmonger from the previous film offered. In a general comparison, I…

The Greatest showman got nothing on this

Pauly Shores' performance is genuinely unhinged. The first twenty minutes or so is absolute gold I couldn't stop laughing. The rest ranges from absolute insanity to boring but it has the funniest cut to credits Ive ever seen so it's maybe worth finishing for that.

    What the fuck
