Endearing, but very uneven -- basically a mashup of every movie Sorrentino has made in the past 15 years or so.
The novelty here is having a female protagonist, but let's be honest, it makes zero difference. It's still a movie about Sorrentino and his obsessions. It's all here: youth, beauty, old men, catholicism, football, the intense male gaze, the perfume ad cinematography.
Very self-indulgent, but it has its moments.
