  What an Unwatchable Steaming pile of Garbage! I never thought I'd watch a movie with Jennifer Coolidge & not get at least a chuckle or 2...Not even close. Not only did I waste my time & money to go see this in a theater, it's so disheartening that these big stars sign up for this shit (Ed Harris, you're breaking my heart 💔😩) And also, that it can receive the money & backing to get to the Big screen in the first place. SOO many talented filmmakers never even get close, bc the "Powers that Be" (Big Corp/Money) are funding Garbage like this! 👎🏻👎🏻

  I remember first watching this movie as a young person in my late teens & being moved & inspired. Not only for the ppl standing up & fighting for their rights, but a strong woman determined & fighting against the odds for herself & fellow workers for better working conditions, pay & safety. Watching it again 35 yrs later I was again moved & inspired. Sally Field gives an exceptional performance.

  The casting was so good. Jeff Bridges was excellent & Karen Allen is just the best in anything she's in. Bridge's portrait of an "alien" could have easily gone ridiculous, but it never does. Hard to believe it's a John Carpenter movie but, there you have it!

  Storyline was a bit clunky but it had a Great cast & it's Paul Newman...I mean, Come On! One of the Best & one of my all time favorites. They don't get much better than him.
