(if the main character of this film were replaced with like, a rabbit or a walrus or something and everything else remained the exact same, i would rate this several points lower. it’s repetitive and there’s only like 2 standout scenes. but alas, i am a sucker, and man did they get this cat’s mannerisms so adorably right. the animators really love cats and it shows. for that i love this movie, whatever!)
about 3/4ths of the scenes work with the first person POV style and the rest suffers from it. overall i respect the commitment to the bit and what it does for the final act twist (that i had to explain to my mother right after it happened). that twist is far and away the most interesting thing about this film and i’m left thinking about only 10 minutes out of a very long 140.
i really need to get off twitter. i thought this would be worthwhile to form my own thoughts on, but unfortunately the film looks and sounds like shit the whole way through to the point of it feeling like i’m watching a desperate woman attempt to use a medium she has no experience in solely for the sake of spreading her bland, directly ripped from the internet dialogue as she campaigns for the most boring standard of transfemininity possible. it…
