Lady Bird 2017
Greta Gerwig has a way of making simplistic things look beautiful. Lady Bird depicts the life of a girl who dreams of the stage life, as do many artists. She's but a girl, nothing more, and that is what makes this movie so amazing. Particularly, the relationship Christine has with her mom is so incredibly relatable, yet somehow rarely seen on the big screen, and that is one of the key parts of this movie that makes it stand apart from others.

M3GAN 2022
Even though this is supposed to be horror, I loved this film purely because M3GAN is a cunty bitch. This is the type of film that would've caused me nightmares as a kid, however it isn't that scary for a horror movie. From a story point of view, it's very coherent and follows the same premise from start to finish, unlike many modern films, and a twist on the common "doll brought to life" horror (Annabelle, Chucky..) with an AI doll is quite interesting. Overall, very pleasant to watch.
