  I have always had somewhat of a passive interest in The Notebook because of its cast. Mainly Gosling. He’s got such a wide range of character’s he’s played and the wider my view of his filmography gets the more I want to see of him.

  Being born and raised in the North East, huge, right leaning, Irish and Italian families are a dime a dozen. And sure there are tons of New England films with scenes involving families with similar dynamics, yet almost all of them (save for Manchester By the Sea) have this very Hollywoodized feeling to them that almost undercuts the authenticity of what they were going for in the first place.

  Overall it was a strange experience going to see this movie.

  I was invited by a friend from church and I didn’t wanna say no considering I haven’t really been feeling going to the movies in almost a year. (Last actual film I saw in theaters was Oppenheimer in August if you don’t count the Eras Tour concert film in October)
