this was such a refreshing take on faith and church and being human. I didn’t think I’d be so interested in what a bunch of cardinals had to say yet here I was fully invested. I’m glad this movie didn’t go down the same beaten down route when it comes to challenging the Catholic Church which I thought was the case originally. And the little hints throughout was a nice touch. The most obvious “No” from god when Lawerence was caving in was so funny. But yeah there is no such thing as certainty when you are human.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I can think of at least 17 different ways they could’ve gone through with this movie so it wasn’t a confusing boring mess. Don’t come at me with “you just didn’t get it.” I do get it. It just sucks that they sent a great message of taking action in one’s life before it suffocates you in the most boring way possible.

This cannot be the feminist film of the year film twitter was talking about??? First of all, it was boring. Second of all, the idea was there but it was executed in the most grotesque male gaze way it could be executed. And every time someone critiques this movie someone immediately blabbers “media literacy is dead!” I knew exactly the point the film was trying to make… it just did a horrible job trying to get there. “Woman liberated when she sell her body!!!!” Delete the whole thing. Great costumes though
