  I watched this for a psychology class.  It was my first time watching it. I thought the movie was good but it was really slow and at some points boring. I hate to admit it, but I do believe this was the first movie I watched where all the characters were black. Which says some things about me 😔. I did think the switches between each act was a little random and I didn’t expect them. The movie had good symbolism with blue and waves. I’d suggest paying close attention to the scene with waves and anything blue, especially blue lighting.

  I watched this movie for a psychology class. It was my first time watching this movie. This movie was very well done. I think it depicts racism really well and still holds up today. I found the story following Mookie very interesting and I had this feeling of doom throughout the entire movie. The continual mention of heat throughout the movie seemed like a small, unimportant detail, but it symbolizes a lot and was very nicely done.
