The dialogue is consistently overly-dramatic which is difficult to take seriously. The film expects the audience to care about the characters but they lack time to develop any disposition. A couple characters just appear in the middle of action, and stay there until the end of the film. There's very little emotional connection to anyone, and it doesn't help that the acting was awkward and flat. The cast clearly didn't show their best.
