Interessanter und spannender Film.
Irgendwie wirken die Wendungen ein wenig plump - ich hätte mir gewünscht, die Intrigen wären etwas subtiler.
Dennoch ein guter, routiniert inszeniert Film.
Interesting "political" thriller. Somehow the twists seem a little clumsy - I would have liked the intrigues to be a little more subtle. Nevertheless, a good, skillfully directed film.
Ich mag den Vibe des Films und dass die Musik reichlich Raum bekommt.
Leider krankt der Film an den üblichen Problemen von Biopics - irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, dass ich nicht viel mehr über die Figur erfahren habe.
I like the vibe of the film and that the music is given plenty of space. Unfortunately, the film suffers from the usual problems of biopics - somehow I feel like I didn't learn much more about the character.
Die Story des übernatürlichen Thrillers ist an den Haaren herbeigezogen (apropos Haare - man beachte in diesem Zusammenhang Anthony Hopkins fiese Frisur) und die Regie versucht zu vertuschen, das sich der Film bei vielen Vorbildern aus dem 90ern bedient.
Nichtsdestotrotz hatte ich meinen Spaß - man darf über den Quatsch aber keine Sekunde nachdenken.
Ein kleines Guilty Pleasure.
This is a difficult one to review...
From an objective point of view it is a nice SciFi action movie - I thought it was pretty emotionless as none of the charaters was really able to attract my interest.
On the other hand - as a Star Wars fan that grew up with Episode IV-VI - I really liked the look and feel of it.
So my rating is pretty much the diplomatic middle of these two opinions.
