    woah. the dancing bedroom scene was a seriously cinematic experience. (After reading some other reviews that are saying this didn’t work, im confused. 

    Cause I’m super exhausted and bored by Gritty and Unflinching depictions of violence. And I’m not sure that literally depicting and passing on trauma actually does anything to process it. [a longer debate to be had. But I’m just not so sure that we need more men beating women in movies and calling it ‘T’rue] if only…

    assorted thoughts, related or unrelated:
    -I went on an indie queen google rabbit hole to see if Catherine keener and Julianne Moore had ever acted in the same movie, and found an awful trailer from the ’90’s of The Gun in Betty Lou’s Handbag (1992). So I guess it’s best they stayed apart, even though they run the show, really.
