sibling love, grief, tortured existence, and a rly cool concept. exploring the cuckoos from a less scientific side and more into the ramifications of their development would’ve been cool, but it was successfully hitting so many themes. i can’t fault it for not doing more.

the cinematography, repetition between scenes, and development of barbi blew me away. there were a few moments that really stuck with me: the first intimate scene between barbi and rick, the fourth wall break by mark, the shot going back and forth between barbi and the apple. i finished the movie very pissed and sad, and in awe of biller’s craft.
