  Expectations were low considering where we are in the movie calendar and what type of movie this is, but it honestly did a surprisingly good job across the board and serves as a great example of exploring a premise in fun and creative ways

  Huh so I maybe should have gone back all the way to the actual original. Kind of a hostile way to depict a stereotypical aspiring actress in Dwan (amazing that isn't a typo) and the mannerisms of Kong as a horny low IQ giant cross the line to creepy at times

  This movie comes at you with a near never ending intense and dark energy that has no time for jokes or even hints of light heartedness. Jason Statham transforms into the Michael Myers of LA gangsters, an unstoppable and unwavering force leaving a wake of violence where he traverses.
