Half ad for Christina Aguilera, half iconic outfits, half extremely objectifying. the whole film is an extended music video.
every character relationship in this film is 1 dimensional and not very interesting. BECAUSE THEY DIDNT MAKE IT GAY.
Petition to reboot this movie and rewrite it as a gay love story between Ali and her rival. Come ON.
the plot is like pasta with no sauce. it’s really boring because all the money when into getting the rights for the songs, dressing the performers, and paying Cher.
extremely iconic tho
It's pretty funny, not a film to be taken seriously in any form or fashion, and well put together for the fact that it's a two and a half hour long shit post with a plot and millions of dollars slapped together.
Watching this makes me realize that the Deadpool Cinematic Universe is surprisingly consistent in terms of quality. While I can't confidently say that any of these movies are stand out or Amazing, none of them are terrible wastes of my time either. There's something to that I think. Overall, not horrible. But also not really all that re-watchable.
God, I can’t believe the first review I’m writing is for Saltburn, of all films.
Fair warning, this is a crazy film. Like, really unexpected reversals and tropes and really, really gross/messed up stuff. Definitely the kind of film that I was grateful to watch with a group (though, it was a little awkward at times) because watching it alone is just asking to get fucked up mentally.
The cinematography is amazing, really clever uses of shot compositions and framing…
I was crying laughing the entire film, the editing is snappy and the humor is caught up with the decade. This is a movie that is so completely self aware, like 100 degrees of self awareness.
I loved this movie. It’s a great watch experience. It’s so ridiculous and silly, but the production value is crazy high.
10/10 in my heart
