Watching this film was one of the most profound experiences of my career of cinematic viewership. Its imagery gripped me in a ways i didn't think a movie could and it helped me develop an understanding of what a great film could be. Hunger is without a doubt one of the finest films of the last decade, let alone one of my favorites. Below is an essay-length review I wrote for film class a while ago.
