So tight, so clean, like the wardrobes of every character. I always appreciate how specific Soderbergh is in every aspect of filmmaking: the shots, the script, the costuming, the setup and payoff. I relish in the joy of movies under 100 minutes these days; it’s a lost art and one I covet. Super fun flick to watch on a dreary day. The halation effect for the ambient lighting was dope too.

I'm Still Here 2024
Exquisitely composed. What stuck out to me most was the use of light and dark, reds and blues in certain settings as Eunice and the family moved through the locales and their emotional states. The darkness cast on the house when the curtains were first closed, the alighting through them once they begin to move out, yet the house is so empty, the remnants of scraps and forgotten papers on the floor the only things left behind.

Funny but in desperate need of an editor. I appreciate extended-length in-time sequences, but some of them were just so long. Agree with Alan that once I realized it wasn’t supposed to be a romcom it was way better. Loved the final 15 minutes, and the evening chase sequence. Had a lot of laughs, but not enough thoughtful hmmmms for what I thought might be available. Mikey killed it though. Is it wrong to hate that many f-words though? It became irksome after a while but that’s New York/New Jersey I suppose.
