The Brutalist 2024
Still not really sure about this. The score, cinematography, editing, and acting are really impressive. No clue how they made this with a $10M budget. The first half was really great and had me excited for what was coming. Then after the intermission it starts to crumble under its own weight. I still enjoyed it overall but man that one scene is so bizarre.

I think a lot of the reviewers are being purposefully ignorant about the homophobia, treatment of women, racism, etc. in this movie. These nurses and doctors aren’t volunteers, they were drafted. It is early 1950 something. The civil rights movement hasn’t happened. Women have been able to vote for 30 years. No shit a bunch of white army doctors who are 3 miles from the front line and are constantly surrounded by dead bodies and dying patients are…
