Idk I thought it was okay. Came to the realisation walking out of the cinema that I loved Pattinson, Ruffalo and Collette's performances so much but didn't really enjoy the rest of the movie around them but they were in like a combined 100% of scenes, so I was enjoying them even while I wasn't enjoying the movie so net-positive? 🤷♀️
As a big Rob Savage guy, I had sky high expectations and was bound to be pretty underwhelmed. Makes sense that this was written by the Quiet Place folk. I really liked the monster design but the whole thing was way too generic to leave much of an impact. Was far too reminiscent of Smile to be a big horror hit considering they only came out about a year apart. Hope this isn't the beginning of a Hollywoodification for Savage and is more of a one for them, one for me thing
