    Dafoe is a commanding young fella in this and Hackman is the versatility that adds a lot of interest and edge to the otherwise unpleasant sort of police presence in the movie. If you're all in on highly hyperbolic scenes of extreme racism and mayhem then this is your jam

    With Me, Myself & Irene, you get a serviceable job from the Farrelly's and one from Carrey. Put them both together (again) and they get by on the skin of their teeth with just enough. The formula is a little long in the tooth, though. There's a lot of standing around from characters that are simply gawking at whatever Carrey is doing. The narration is funny and helps save it through frequent rough spots.

Another example would be the commentary on the current age of digital, at the time of 1991, and how eerily comparable its story has paralleled our own through the 30 years since this movie was made.…
