Just saw this in IMAX 70mm in what may be the largest screen in America. When people ask me “What’s your favorite movie?” I’m always incredibly resistant to choose one. That’s such a loaded question, but I always answer with “Hmmm…Interstellar is definitely in the top few.” It’s the only one that’s always made the list.

I’m a big Matthew Vaughn fan and just returned from the Q&A with him and the cast. Was great seeing them, but the movie was certainly a bit all over the place. Felt like there were some fun moments, mainly due to Sam Rockwell, but a lot of the CGI and some of the acting I felt wasn’t up to par.

Come on…it was great. Cheesy, awful dialogue in parts just like in the first one, lots of storylines we’ve seen elsewhere and some plot holes, but…come on.
This thing looked like it cost $75 gigillion to make and it absolutely raises the bar in terms of scope, scale and possibility on a technical level. Just like the first Avatar did. We need people like James Cameron. See this in imax 3D.
