I think is is what it felt like for the people in the 80's when they watched the original Top Gun. This film is action packed, full of nods to the original and just so stunningly polished. The casting for this was on point. Miles Teller is a flipping amazing actor. He was the perfect casting for Rooster. Goose would have been proud. My only downside to this film was the unnecessary love story, but I love how it provided some comedic moments. Soundtrack, also on point.

This is the most over the top manliest film ever in the gayest way possible, and you know what? I can accept it. Growing older since the 1st time watching this is knowing that this might be one of the best films ever made. But it's probably about 20 mins longer than it needs to be. The cinematography is just some of the best there ever was shown. But the OST is just next level. Zimmer did something special with this and put so much emotion into it. It's just magical.

Big shout out to the director for doing your research and making the entire set factually technologically accurate for the movie. The film feels exactly like it was filmed in the same era as the original Alien movie, with a modern day flare. The use of switches, monotone PC screens and lighting really made it as immersive as the original Alien. The included easter eggs and nods to the other films was excellently captured.
