This movie sucks. It’s boring as all hell. The action is bloodless and sterile. Jamie Bell is ok but everybody else is either phoning it in or just horribly miscast (looking at you Channing Tatum). The Exorcist 1973

I mean, this is one of the best horror movies ever made. And it holds up about as well as a movie can. It’s heartbreaking. It’s deeply unsettling. And for my money, it’s just about perfect.
I don’t feel a need to talk too much about my feelings towards this movie beyond the basics. Mostly, because it’s The Exorcist. Also, because only about two people read my reviews. But it truly is a masterpiece of direction and writing, of casting and special effects. It is an incredible achievement and deserves every bit of recognition it gets.
