The Brutalist 2024
I know there are some mixed emotions here but I loved it. It would have been five stars if it weren’t for the flop ending and some VERY on the nose symbolism.
One of the most visually stunning movies I’ve seen in awhile. It gave me more of an appreciation for brutalist architecture. Loved Adrienne Brody’s fits, especially that blue sweater. He had a lot of drip for a 1930s peasant.
It also felt very special to see this screened at the two places I’ve worked here in LA. Like that just felt a little magical. I’m so excited for the Oscar’s now.
