  What a bore. The random surrealism doesn’t add anything to the overall tone, just strange and unsatisfying. How a movie can be barely 90 minutes and drag on forever is beyond me. Dialogue is impenetrable. As I’m doing this i cannot even remember the main character’s name. This sucked

  Really worked for me. The slice of life and moments of humor shade in the most sinister scenes so well. I went into this with a fair bit of negative bias but got sucked in almost immediately. Surprisingly contemplative, hits classic beats while drawing (but not overdoing) the viewer into narrative twists, earns every bit of grisliness it indulges in.
