Thief 1981
PROS:
- a great first feature film by Michael Mann - it's crazy to me that this is his first movie. His film style is apparent from the beginning.
- cinematography is pretty much perfect, but I would say some of my favorite shots are the close ups during the heists of the tools and equipment they use. Very interesting choice
- James Caan is perfectly cast in this, sort of conflicted and definitely all swagger

- I feel like Amy Ryan has been making a living off of Apple TV, love that for her
- story is well-written and the pacing never feels like it drops off

- this kid with the drugs is really annoying, and very very dumb
