Anora was a well-made film. Best Picture worthy? I don't know but I rarely agree with the academy. Mikey Madison did give a great performance though and while it would have been nice to see Demi Moore take it home, I can't say that Mikey didn't deserve it either. The side characters were all well-acted too. Why such a low score then? Honestly, I just didn't care at all during the movie. I didn't really like any of the characters…

I was very impressed with Nosferatu. The whole movie I was waiting for Eggers to blow it for me. That isn't a dig at Eggers by the way. IT HAS NO BUSINESS BEING THIS GOOD! Who saw that coming? I mean Top Gun is a loved movie but I think we all know it is more iconic than it is good. This movie though? Look, the first two acts are really solid but they aren't anything crazy. The third act though is one of the great third acts I have ever seen in my life. Just a perfect movie to me and I love it.

Advertised as a return of the raunch comedy, it didn’t really fill the void I was hoping for of being the first good comedy of the 2020’s. I do think the message was a good one and the film was a fun enough time and it did have a few truly funny moments.
