Mickey 17 2025
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good film and there’s a lot to love about it, especially Pattinsons performance, but I can’t help but be a little underwhelmed. This was one of my most anticipated movies of the year (it’s a Bong Joon-Ho film starring The Batman, how could it not be), and it just didn’t live up to the perhaps unrealistic hype I brought it to in my head.

Im a sucker for a good road trip movie and this is one of the best. If Kieran Culkin doesn’t win the Oscar we ride at dawn. Absolutely loved Eisenbergs screenplay and performance too.

A cocaine-induced love/hate letter to films and the film industry, and I had so much fun experiencing it.
Babylon is unhinged, unpredictable, and mesmerizing- kind of like the world of cinema. It is visually spectacular, beautifully scored, and there are memorable performances from Margot Robbie and Diego Calva. It’s long (you feel the three hours), but the beginning and end sequences make it worth every second. Take a bow, Damien Chazelle.
