Good movie that's saddled with a sorta lame ultimate twist at the end, which is the fault of the source material.
I think Scorsese does a lot to add weight to the fact that the 'delusional' plot experienced by Teddy, or at least his impression of the nature of the island and its research, is not totally invalid. At least, the door is still open there.
Even with the intended interpretation of the plot, the attempt to tie a neat…

O Brother, Where Art Thou? 2000
Based on my experience with the other handful of Coen movies I've seen, I expected to be delighted through the entire film, and was.
It's an adventure with something unexpected at every turn, dripping with a style that can't be matched. It's more consistently light-hearted in tone than some other notable Coen projects, which works to great effect contrasting with the otherwise bleak setting and circumstances of three prisoners escaping a chain gang and fleeing through the depression era South.
I will definitely be rewatching.
