Okay maybe I need to rewatch when I’m smarter? (But also movies like that make me upset)

Beautiful movie with fantastic art direction. I just wish for once that the sexually abused woman would have a chance of happiness. It makes the grooming metaphor a bit fuzzy.

The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story 2023
The movie itself is standard but the reason I rate it four is because this dramatization of Kara Robinson’s story was done with the permission and encouragement of the REAL Kara Robinson. I think that itself is so amazing, she called the movie therapeutic and I think more biographical films should take notes.
Also since this movie was made straight for television there are some weird editing moments to account for commercials and such but other than that great movie.
