Respect 2021
This movie had me bawling on the plane! As a younger person, I am aware of Aretha Franklin but I never knew her story before the big songs. Jennifer Hudson was AMAZING and the dialogue between all characters kept me engaged never once thinking “oh that’s the actor, not the character.” The movie does not going through her entire life just the first 30 years or so but I truly didn’t mind. It seemed that the director wanted to highlight the struggle she’d experienced in her early years. I definitely recommend this movie!

This movie was fun to watch. I loved the main actress, Juliette Binoche, as the chocolatier who brought a bit of joy into the villagers’ lives. Different than what my typical movie tastes are but enjoyed it thoroughly. Also Johnny Depp was very attractive in this movie - not any other movie just this one

Very cute, very sweet, very relatable to people who feel like they’ve been put in a box and haven’t found how to find and care for their true self. The ending was a bit lackluster in a sense that I wanted something more before it ended. Now idk what that would be but just wanted a bit more.

Honestly, I enjoyed the path this sequel took. This new cast members were enjoyable to watch. It felt nostalgic but new which I very much enjoyed. Jonathan Groff and Niel Patrick Harris were surprising choices yet exciting to watch.
