    "I'm not queer, I'm disembodied."
I thought about that a lot.
"Queer" is a cinematically striking film about queer repression and how lonely it can feel to be a queer person. It had me thinking and feeling the whole way through, especially at the ending as expected with a studio like A24. The film forces the viewer to feel right alongside Lee in his desperate yearning for intimacy and his loneliness in never being able to grasp an equal level…

This could play on a loop 24/7 on my TV and it would be so chill. I loved this movie.

Honestly, this is the most beautiful movie I've ever seen. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the writing, everything about this movie spoke to me on such a deep level. It's easily my new favorite movie and I don't think anything else is going to beat it, ever. It's so close to my heart. I don't cry at movies but this one made me tear up. It's been over a week now since I've seen it and I just can't stop thinking…

    Censor

    ★★★½

Censor was a visually impressive, almost trippy film. Not only was it compelling to watch our lead's decent into madness, but it was also a political statement, taking the side of anti-censorship (as do I). It showed censors as pitiful in the end, due to their never-ending fear of art. While it had great moments, it also had slow parts; it wasn't consistently great, but overall it was good and I enjoyed it.
