I have yet to watch this movie so no in detail review yet but I remember at my theater job there was a guy I’ll just call “Scooter Bro” that would come in and watch this once maybe even multiple times a week! Bro loved this movie with a passion! And honestly I could watch this movie at some point and maybe forget about it but I’ll never forget the love that Scooter Bro had for this movie and that’s just beautiful

Randomly revisited this one cuz I remember it actually being pretty decent and that holds true! For a pg-13 horror movie of the modern age it’s actually quite well made! The monsters and stories are well remade here with some pretty amazing practical fx! The characters and overall story are your standard fair, and if you aren’t  a die hard fan of  the books you might miss some references or what these monsters are actually supposed to be.But the teen actors do a decent enough job and the spectacle of it all helps you forget the small shortcomings it has. Honestly kind of a hidden gem!

This was an attack on my bisexuality but I’m totally okay with that!

If there was a book series from the early 2000s that I grew very fond of, it would have to be The Series of Unfortunate Events. It’s macabre style and humor made it darker than most young adult books, yet not too an extreme to become truly upsetting. Its humor is this almost perfect balance of light and dark humor, and I think its writing was clever enough for some kind of adaptation.
