I was pretty much surprised by it - in the positive. Well-shot, great colours, entertaining musical sequences (and I say it as someone who doesn't enjoy musicals). I had no prior knowledge about Robbie Williams' life story so I can't judge whether this account is honest or not; yet, the intent to tell his story as objectively as possible is clear in here. The violence with which everything happens in this movie. There's violence in the way they love each other, violence in the way they engage with their wifes or girlfriends, violence in how their story ends, the same violence and brutality we see in the landscape that is so dear to them, that is Brokeback Mountain. I loved this - their relationship with life and love being a reflection of its rough natural background.
