The Lady Eve 1941
siri play cowboy like me by taylor swift
this is a FILM. it is funny, romantic, suggestive (BRILLIANTLY waltzes up to and all around the strict lines of the Hayes Code!!), and quite possibly the BEST barbara sanwyck vehicle. she is endlessly charming and sexy and magnetic. i could not adore her more. this film is an immediate new favorite, im actually just in shock at how much i love her.. and the ENDING! one of my favorite film endings ever?!?!

A Letter to Three Wives 1949
one of the most captivated enchanting edge-of-your-seat movies i’ve seen. i was TAKEN by linda darnell and jeanne crains performances, but the plot and stakes of this movie is just so entertaining, it’s paced so well, and i truly had no idea how it was going to end. i couldn’t look away. this is what movies are about!!!

Hotel Chevalier 2007
we all joke about and love the escapism of wes anderson’s films. the quick-witted dialogue, the insanely intricate set design, the quirky and sharp characters...we all want to live in a wes anderson film, right? HOTEL CHEVALIER has these things too of course, but it all somehow feels more real. The dialogue in this short does so much work in allowing us to understand these two characters, their past, their fuck ups between each other, etc. i can’t help but…
