As someone who watched Tickled and thought it was a great documentary, I was excited to see another David Farrier documentary. I actually didn't initially know what this was about, until I finally read a summary a few months ago.

I still enjoy watching this movie!
I wouldn't go so far as to call it a comfort movie, but the fast-paced action is just so easy to settle into and that was perfect for what I wanted today, in between listening to the cricket and job searching.
Personally, I don't think this is as great as everyone says it is.
The last thirty or so minutes was the best part for me. I really enjoyed Jodie Foster's scenes except for one, she brought life with her acting.
So yeah. Is this not my specific cup of tea? Maybe. And maybe that's why I just did not enjoy this as much as everyone else.
I did really enjoy the soundtrack! 70s music man.
Oh and also, if you're on a second date, don't take them to see a porn movie on their day off. That's just a bad move in general lol

Sigourney Weaver was absolutely killing it as Lady Claudia (no pun intended) and the fact that she wanted to humanise the Evil Stepmother figure and did just that was just so very good.
And how can you not feel for her?
Claudia's wants are simple - to be loved, especially by her new husband Frederick; to have a good relationship with her new stepdaughter; and to have a kid of her own.
But Lilli kept rejecting her…
