Solaris 1972
Of all the Tarkovsky films Iβve seen, Solaris did not bore me at all and is my favorite yet. The exceptional use of cinematography by the solitary atmosphere and stark visuals doesnβt merely serve the narrative but shapes the very emotional texture of the film. This, in turn, creates something that feels deeply personal, challenging our understanding of reality. Solid 5/5 for its ability to be both intellectually stimulating and emotionally captivating.

Landscape in the Mist 1988
Landscape in the Mist is another top-tier masterwork from one of cinemaβs most revered auteurs. Itβs an evocative, poetic odyssey and a vivid meditation on the elusive nature of fulfillment. Though the filmβs super-slow pacing occasionally tests patience, they ultimately complement its poetic themes, leaving a lasting impression of existential longing that proves its legacy as a timeless showpiece.

Inside Out 2 2024
Despite its conventional story, it doesn't change the fact that this movie tackles a heavy subject such as mental health and conveys the message that not all emotions are bad; some are just too strong. So a balanced combination of all emotions is important in being versatile, even if anxiety is part of that mix. Basically, this movie is just spectacularly insightful and Pixar might be getting back on track with this one.

The Substance 2024
I really need to watch new movies more cause this was such a breathtaking masterpiece. It contains everything youβd expect from French filmmakers and more, following in the footsteps of many notable body horrors by delivering a lurid, perverse arthouse shocker that excels in both its graphic novelty and execution. A masterclass deserving of 5 stars, no other horror are doing it like this.
