  I've never heard of a funny Ishmael Bernal film until this one. A mix of political, jurisdicial satire in an era (as the film was shot during martial law) where Cinema served as an avenue against the government. Bernal and his team of misfits (Manila 70's brand of misfits were Christopher de Leon, Jay Ilagan, Charo Santos, Bobot Mortiz, Johnny Delgado, and many more) star this film that not only mocks other films during the time, but the traffic, the abuse of art by the Marcoses, and the predictive consequences of brain drain.

  Kay sarap panoorin. Isabel Sandoval uses the language of film to tackle a very difficult subject with respect and very few limitations.

  It's too honest at times, I can just imagine how Olivia's struggles are nothing compared to what we face each day. And whether or not Ms. Sandoval has experienced it herself, it doesn't matter.
