Edge of Tomorrow 2014
Edge of Tomorrow took me by surprise mainly because the marketing was just so jaded that to expect something original was a stretch. I didn’t expect this would amount to anything more than a generic “science-action-flick”. It effortlessly manages to get so much right, including a likable cast, solid special effects, superbly executed and gripping set pieces, and it was pleasurable to tag along with the characters for the ride. It has a like-it-or-hate-it ending that may irk some folks but I didn’t mind it.
