It’s devastating how much potential this film had. What gorgeous cinematography (the use of wide lenses to evoke the sense that her environment is a stage) and color creating the perfect feeling of the 70s. And the production design got snubbed by not getting nominated for the Oscars. Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous
BUT wtf is the storyline, so slow and you barely learn anything about her. If only the plot could only match the cinematography
A raw, harrowing, and unflinching portrayal of genocide—any distributor passing on this should be ashamed of their cowardice. Stories like this need to be seen.
