He Went That Way 2023
I would’ve rather watched the real survivor give his account than whatever this was for over 90 minutes. It’s rare that i think a movie deserves zero stars but this has zero redeeming qualities. How did this get made???

The Women of Brewster Place 1989
Cicely Tyson was only in this movie for about 15 minutes but her performance stole the show. This movie covers a lot of topics but in all of the movies and tv shows I’ve watched, this is one of the few black lesbian couples I’ve seen. The film industry needs to tell more stories of LGBTQ women of color. The only complaint I have is the aging makeup was a little weird.

I really don’t like it when people make movies, tv shows, or write books about a real person but don’t include any actual facts about their life. Like what do you gain from doing this? If they wanted to make a genuine biopic they should have consulted one of her children about their mother and what she was like. Elisabeth Moss is a great actress of course but this is a very strange thing to do. And I completely understand why Shirley Jackson’s children were upset by this movie.
