I may not know anything about Japan, but I'm pretty sure this film is reinforcing Japanese stereotypes and making fun of people from Japan. It's really uncomfortable all the jokes about Japanese people mispronouncing words in English, when it's admirable and hard for anyone to be learning a second language.
