Unleashed 2005
A film I've been meaning to add to my collection for what feels like forever, finally on my shelf in region-free blu ray format.
Written by Luc Besson, it shares themes of innocence, exploitation & escape with his signature film Léon (The Professional).
With fantastic fight choreography from the legendary Yuen Wo Ping, Jet Li is a brutalised young man kept as a collared attack-dog by the theatrically villainous Bob Hopkins, and brought out of the darkness by blind musician Morgan Freeman & his foster daughter Kerry Condon.

The Prince of Egypt 1998
One of the greatest animated musicals ever, with an incredible score by Hans Zimmer and songs by Stephen Schwartz.
Personally I have to dissociate it from modern-day political associations and view it through the lens of myth rather than history in order to enjoy it, but it's worth the compromise.
The villains' song is a weak point among an otherwise outstanding lineup.
