  Why does this movie suck so much?
  Because it was real.

  I do not like this movie and hate that fandoms put up with crap story telling just so they can have more slop to consume as long there's bloated action sequences, repurposd nostalgia, and meaningless smut from their favorite fantasy series (see Rings of Power, Star Wars, multiple Netflix adaptations).

  Spectacle alone should not carry a movie, but franchises of beloved IP are nearly guaranteed to be watched despite not possessing enough quality nor the care put in to actually adapting the work and making changes when necessary.

  I wanted to like this movie a lot more than I actually did. The performances themselves are great, specifically Maika Monroes, but the film itself is a mess. The first two acts create a creepy atmosphere and a sense of dread as we're trying to follow the clues left behind an enigmatic serial killer before he strikes again. Unfortunately the third act nearly loses all steam with convoluted reveals and little actual payoff in a rushed conclusion.
